Who is Joseph?
​
Joseph had a prophetic gift that made his brothers envious selling him into slavery. Then, he was falsely accused for not accepting advances by the master’s woman & went to prison. But, his gift gave him favor becoming the 2nd to the king foreseeing famine & later, gave mercy to his brothers after testing their trust.
Before all that, Joseph was a mess & went face to face with God (possibly Christ) physically wrestling with God injuring his hip, not letting go all night until he got his blessing. He was in shock after: “I saw God face to face, & yet my life was spared.” Humbled, he kept God’s covenant (Word) despite the evil that came against him later & became “Isreal.” Gen. 25-50.
